CareerNotFound is an independent publication launched in August 2025. It was started in response to our own layoff and what we wanted to do going forward.
We want this to be community where we can share career advice for those of us who have been:
- Severed by RIF
- Seeking career advice and mentoring
- Share stories and advice on family
- Practical men's fashion
I also enjoy writing and this will allow me to have at it - you'll laugh, cry, or learn a thing or two.

Career Guidance
Q: Why would you want career guidance when you keep hearing AI is threatening to take your job?
A: People still matter and whether you are working for a company or trying to be a founder, being able to read the room (even virtual) and engage will always be necessary.
Q: You capped out at middle management. What can you possibly help me with?
Even though I never made it higher, I have a good idea of what it takes to get there. I was just not willing to make the necessary sacrifices.
I feel you'll relate to me better than a C-suite executive telling what worked for them on you. That's like following a formula made for someone else. Can it work? Sure, but everybody's path is going to be a little different.
I have a strong record of promoting the people I managed and made a lot of observations of my time in management. The idea of helping people with their careers has intrinsic value and I want to see if I can pay that out to a broader audience.
Meet people like you
Most of all, I would to make this a community. That requires you and others with shared interests to join.
